Field wildlife

The hare was a complete surprise to me and him as he found himself in front of a hide before making a rapid exit. The green finches were like most birds at this time of year not looking their best, as they are either moulting or lack preening due to a busy breeding season. The stone curlews always present a photographic challenge to try and get a good sharp image. The birds are usually far away in a protected area and spend a lot of time hunkered down in the grass or heather as they are nocturnal, hence the big eyes for night vision.
